Graciela Pena (who her friends know as Gracie) is a musical artist who lives in the San Francisco Bay Area and enjoys playing guitar, collecting butterfly memorabilia, ballroom and line dancing, trying new recipes, and meeting new people when she sings in the streets of downtown, where she shares songs from the Beatles to old classics to spiritual songs.

Gracie cares about people. Her desire is to bring healing and hope to those who are brokenhearted, and she knows that true hope comes only one way, through the redeeming and saving power of Jesus Christ.  She believes her calling is to sing and to tell others that there is “…freedom for the captives, release from darkness for the prisoner, comfort for those who mourn.” Isaiah 61.

Bi-lingual in Spanish and English, Gracie writes versions of her music in both languages. Her voice, like a crystal lake in a meadow, has a way of filling a room with peace.  At the same time, she brings an effervescence to her more energetic songs. Her joy shines through. She writes memorable melodies in a worshipful, adult-contemporary style, with lyrics that focus on the redemptive power of Jesus.  She leads churches in familiar, contemporary worship songs in both English and Spanish.

Gracie enjoys performing at events, coffee shops, weddings, celebrations of life, music in the park events, evangelism outreaches... pretty much wherever she gets invited to share music! She continues to write new songs and release new music. One of her dreams is to record an album of original Latin music with a mariachi band. She enjoys partnering with powerful fundraising organizations who share her mission in bringing the hope of Christ to a world who is in desperate need of Him.

“Thank you and Jesus for the gift of your music.  I was listening to your album Let Her See Jesus.  It ministered powerfully by speaking to my current journey.  The song about praising and trusting God in the fire and the lion’s den while others watch spoke to me. Gracie, we the body of Christ and the lost need the music that God has gifted you with.  Please continue in your calling because many will be touched through your music, be bold, be brave, because God has given you the land.  Joshua 1:6”  ” - Julia Hallmark
